Its really close to highway. Bernard is really welcoming and knows all the cool spots to check out around the town and whole Omaha beach. The breakfast is simply amazing and worth every cent. Must try their salted butter. Can eat it with a spoon. Also their home made apple juice and jams. To die for good. Amazing welcome by their cat Nikita who slept with us the whole night and their cute alpaca Alf. <3 Bernard and his wife put a lot of effort into making sure their guests are as comfortable as they can be. Bernard speaks english so extremely well so no communication problems. Also he replies fast on any sort of communication forms. The house itself is amazing. You can really feel the old vibe. This accomodation is basiclly perfect for people who worship animals, dont mind getting kissed by lovely Nikita at night and love to spend time in a castle like building. I hope this old mill gets back to its former glory. Thank you Bernard for the most amazing welcome and hosting you provided us.

Beautiful restored medieval water mill, in a beautiful, peaceful location. Next to a little beck, and surrounded by trees and fields. Spacious room, with many windows to different, equally beautiful views. Very personal, warm and helpful attention by the owners. An ideal location to explore Normandie and rest in the countryside, away from traffic and noise, yet very close to the main road and motorway.

Barnard and his family were really great hosts and passionate to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The mill is beautifully restored but still provides it's historic character.

Great location and super nice guests! The accomodation is very spacious with all the comforts. Fantastic experience in a building with a "strong historical character". Hope to be back in future.

One of the most unique places we have ever stayed. Bernard is incredibly knowledgeable about the place itself and the surrounding area. A good recommendation for dinner, an entire route to follow on our trip along the beaches of Normady and an in depth explanation about the interesting mechanism of the mill! Truly a wonderful stay, we wish you all the best.

Amazing little cottage with extremely convenient location. There is 2 pony, 1 alpaca, 2 cats, 2 dog, 2 goats, a few chicken….. such a great package that they offer and the owner is also extremely nice and caring. The owner also offer us breakfast which was served in the sun and have a great variety of food, the eggs that we had were one of the best egg I’ve ever had.

Beautiful, dreamy location. After your arrival you may think, that you followed the white rabbit, and landed in Alice in Wonderland. Only that the white rabbit, in this story is a white Alpaca ! After Bernard greets you, you feel warmly welcome, the authentic mill, the rooms, the atmosphere is superb. Bernard prepares the best breakfast with local supplies, the eggs come from the hen, who walk under the table, while you enjoy your meal. Alf the Alpaca has a place in our hearts for ever, two ponies, two sheep, Nica the cat... and a Duck. The location is few km away from any sightseeing highlight, quite, fresh air, in need: supermarket is near. Listen to Bernards recommendations for restaurants. Bernard is a superb host, it was a pleasure having met him. Description and pictures are according to what you will find there. This was a unique experience, for us all, we will return.

“Unique opportunity”

If you want a French county experience with a difference this is for you. This was a unique old mill that the owner Bernard has converted sections to accommodation. Rustic and relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast is provided if you like. The host Bernard lives on site is very passionate about the property, and can give you the history. He speaks English very well and is extremely helpful. He helped my husband with booking a scenic flight in an old plane and also when we needed to book our motorcycle in for some repairs. Thoroughly enjoyed

The owners could not possibly be more kind and welcoming. This is a working farmhouse - if you're not prepared for that, adjust your expectations or book somewhere else. My kid absolutely loved the menagerie of animals. Get the breakfast, it was delicious with eggs so fresh they were just plucked from under the chickens. Omaha beach just a short drive away.

“Beautiful refurbished mill, friendly proprietors, great breakfast”

This a refurbished mill near Omaha Beach in Normandy. Absolutely beautiful rural setting. The guest quarters resemble a guest bedroom with very comfortable beds. The bathroom was small but beautifully done. The proprietor was happy to show us around the old mill and the various improvements they are making. The hosts speak very good English and gave good advice on what to see in the area, both D-day related and otherwise. The breakfast was hearty - even some local Camembert cheese, which turned out to be too strong for our teenage son (but not for the adults). The eggs were from the hens in the yard. I could envision this as a place to stay for a week or two if you wanted to have an immersive French language experience, or as a base for exploring the Normandy war sites.
