Overview
This traditional hotel is located in the village of Ahlerstadt. Schützenhof Ahlerstadt offers free WiFi, a garden terrace, a classic restaurant and a bistro-pub. Built in 1802 and family-run for 7 generations, the Schützenhof Ahlerstadt features classic, contemporary rooms. All rooms include cable TV and a private bathroom with shower. A breakfast buffet is provided each morning, and half board is also available. The restaurant is open daily (except Wednesdays) and the Piesel bistro-pub serves 4 draught beers and a rich selection of wines and cocktails. The 3 bowling lanes at the Schützenhof can be used for an extra fee. There are many hiking and cycling trails in the surrounding Lower Saxon countryside. On-site parking is free for guests. The hotel is 6 km from Harsefeld Train Station and 13 km from the A1 motorway. It is conveniently situated between Hamburg and Bremen, a 50-minute drive from each.

Room was clean and modern. Restaurant was very good and had a normal dining room and another Bistro with the same menu. The food was excellent.

A quiet, country hotel to relax and decompress after visiting the cities of Hamburg and/or Bremen. Both cities are approximately 40-45 minutes drive or an hour with the train from Ahlerstedt.
