“Absolutely incredible. Feels like we hit the jackpot finding thing place!”

We could not recommend Villa Alba highly enough. If you're considering staying here, do it... you'll be missing out on something truly special if you don't! The Villa was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed. We were initially unsure about having an outdoor bathroom, but it ended up being one of our favorite features, it was clean, well-maintained, and added such a unique touch to the experience. What made our stay even more special was the staff. Every single member of the team was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. A huge thank you to all of the staff for making our stay so memorable. Without a doubt, Villa Alba was the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka. It felt like its own little jungle paradise, peaceful and private, while still close enough to the main strip.

We really loved this villa – it’s peaceful, very clean, and beautifully designed, with only a few rooms which makes it feel extra private. Everything is surrounded by nature, which creates an amazing atmosphere. In the mornings, we were sometimes woken up by peacocks, but honestly it didn’t bother us at all – it actually added to the unique experience. Breakfast was good, and you can also order food during the day – everything we tried was delicious. Staying here was truly one of the best experiences. The room was spacious and bright. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back.

It’s a wonderful villa, the staff is heartwarming and the rooms are very spacious (since we worked from there this was important)! We loved our stay, the breakfast and would 100% recommend it if you want to enjoy calmness. A tuk tuk ride to the main strip in Ahangawa takes around 10-15min - we would definitely come back

It was a beautiful hotel, our room was gorgeous. Lovely pool to relax in. Very peaceful and serene. Would definitely recommend if you want a peaceful luxury.

Its an amazing place to relax and enjoy the nature. Small but beautiful infinity pool looking towards the coconut trees and rice fields. The place is little bit outside of the Ahangama city center but so nice if you want to enjoy the calmness. You can go there by car or tuktuk, hard to walk especially in the dark because you are passing through the forest basically. But we also enjoyed the walk in daytime, beautiful scenery. So clean and nice architecture, breakfast could be improved in my opinion but very tasty.

“Beautiful villas in a quiet and picturesque setting”

We loved the architecture and design of the Villa Alba. The swimming pool is a striking feature. The property is quiet and we were able to arrange a tuk tuk easily to take us to town and the beach. Our rooms were tastefully decorated, extremely spacious and had wide balconies with views over the rice paddies. The staff were friendly and obliging.

Beautiful hotel in the most peaceful area but only a 10 min tuk tuk ride into town. Our room was so lovely and really comfortable. The pool area is stunning. The staff were super friendly and attentive, and the breakfast and lunch were great!

Incredible location and property with amazing views of rice terraces from pool and all rooms, we stayed in the king room which was simply stunning (bathroom, views, amenities..), staff was extremely friendly and helpful , one of the best small hotels we have stayed in - 100% recommendation would definitely stay here again if I get the chance

“Sri Lankan style amidst paddy fields”

Located away from the madness of Ahangama. Standards were above average within Sri Lanka. Tastefully built and furnished in typical Sri Lankan style. The view is spectacular. The nature - monkies and birds. The open bathroom was the second I had experienced - this one being far more superior. Food was good.

Absolutely wonderful stay – we would definitely come back! Unfortunately, we only stayed one night at Villa Alba, but it was truly amazing. The property is very stylish and beautifully located in the middle of rice fields, offering a unique and peaceful atmosphere. We could observe local wildlife, including lizards, which made the experience even more special. The pool is stunning, and the rooms are tastefully designed with a spacious bathroom and a very large, comfortable bed. The staff was extremely friendly, warm, and attentive. Highly recommended!

This place is wonderful. Hidden away among scenic paddy fields in the rural fringes of Ahangama, this was one of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka! From the moment we arrived to the morning we left, 4 days later, we were in a small slice of heaven. This hotel has been so very thoughtfully designed and equipped - and that shows up everywhere you look. From the oil incense burners infusing your room when you arrive, to the nuanced decor, the so-inviting pool, the views from the rooms - feeling intimately exclusive to you and so stunning - and the wonderfully prepared, individualised breakfasts. The staff were so polite, friendly and helpful (like so many people in this country!). This place is a world apart, and yet pure Sri Lankan excellence. I did not want to leave. Ever.

Fantastic stay at Villa Alba! Everything is just perfect. Big and super clean rooms. The atmosphere is just peacful and relaxing. The house is so well decorated and clean. The staff is very nice and polite as well Highly recommend it

I booked it for one night. The stay is very aesthetic. It is exactly like it is shown in pictures. The stay is quiet. The property manager allowed us to extend or stay by 3 hours (he declined earlier but had to be shown messages multiple times that he agreed to do so earlier). Probably because apart from us there were 2 more people in entire property.

Our stay at Villa Alba was pretty great. We interacted with only one staff member throughout our stay and he was very nice and helpful. The Sri Lankan breakfast was yummy and the Villa itself was nice and spacious and very well maintained. It was overlooking a beautiful paddy field and we’d always manage to catch a glimpse of a peacock or two in the mornings.

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Alba. It felt like paradise when we arrived after a long journey. Our room was beautiful – clean, comfortable, with a stunning view and lots of great amenities. We visited in the off-season, so we often had the pool to ourselves for a lot of the time as well as the reception area during breakfast and dinner, which made everything feel even more relaxing and exclusive. The food was brilliant too – so many options, really high quality, and clearly made with care. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Villa Alba also has scooters available to rent, which was super convenient for exploring the nearby local areas. I honestly couldn’t recommend if you're looking for affordable luxury, peacefulness and total relaxation.
