This was the absolute best place I stayed at in SL. ❤️ The hosts were over the top friendly, helpful and super caring. Always with a smile on their faces and making it feel like a real home. The location is quiet and the property is surrounded by lush green. 🌴 The room has AC and hot water, which worked perfectly at all time. The bed is really comfortable and there is a well equipped shared kitchen. It was also possible to rent a scooter, so my whole stay was made really smooth and uncomplicated. I recommend this place 100% and hope I will be back again soon! Thank you so much for everything! 🫶

Super comfortable beds. AC worked great in the apartment room. Unfortunately my sisters AC didn’t work but the owners were lovely and didn’t charge us for that night. Clean rooms. Spacious. Has everything you need. Absolutely lovely owners

The owner Saman was so nice and helpful. He went above and beyond to ensure I had a comfortable and nice stay! The property is located a short walking distance from the beach and the bus station ensuring easy access to the whole south coast of Sri Lanka.

I had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse near beach. The host was incredibly kind and provided a motorbike, making it easy to explore the area. The location is peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway, and the hospitality truly made my trip memorable.

Felt like home the moment I entered. Uncle Saman and his family made me feel very welcome. Rooms and simple but has everything you need. Perfect and serene location in Kathaluwa, nested in the jungle.

I really enjoyed my stay here a lot. Booked for 5 nights and extended. The one room appartment is spacious and very confortable. It provides an AC and two confortable beds. The very private and beautiful terrace with a nice view is one of the highlights. There is a shared kitchen and nice living room downstairs. The hostfamily is super friendly, helped us with everything and we really felt like beeing home. We highly recommend to stay here.

Tropical vibes is such a nice family place to stay in !! They are so caring and makes you feel at home instantly :) the house is not on the main road (lot of traffic) so it’s quiet and in the nature 🌴 We had the best stay and could relax after surfing (there is a surfing spot 2mins drive from the house) 🏄‍♀️ We would definitely recommend this house to anyone visiting the south of Sri Lanka ✌🏼

Saman, the owner, is super friendly and helpful. We just spent there two nights, but we would have liked to stay longer. The price is really good and you can easily reach the accommodation by bus, if you don't want to take a tuktuk. Saman has also a scooter, if you need.

The room and the common areas are very good, spacious and clean.The location is phenomenal and beautiful views to the surrounding vegetation. It was a magnificent stay in all aspects!

The owner is a very pleasant person, very hospitable, treated to national food, not intrusive. Nice room on the third floor, very spacious common area and clean kitchen. Everything is new and neat.

“Lovely and peaceful Homestay surrounded by the green jungle with the kindest hosts you can imagine!”

This lovely homestay opened in the beginning of 2023 and you can truly feel that the hosts are doing everything to make your stay perfect. We stayed one week longer than expected, because we truly felt like at home here. The room is big, bright and very clean. You even have a hot shower, which is rare in Sri Lanka. The balcony is the most beautiful place, you have a look in the peaceful jungle where you can watch the monkeys playing around. You can also use a small kitchen, which we loved.
