Spa service is good and relaxing. Property has few rooms so it is less crowded and comfortable

I had the most wonderful stay at Spice Trail. From the moment I arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. The rooms were spotless, beautifully maintained, and extremely comfortable, making my stay feel so relaxing and peaceful. The staff was incredibly warm, polite, and attentive throughout my visit. A very special mention to Prashankar who went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and taken care of — his kindness and hospitality truly made my experience even more memorable. The food was also exceptional, with every meal being fresh and delicious. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I genuinely felt at home here. I would absolutely love to stay here again on my next trip to Ahangama and highly recommend it to anyone visiting South coast Sri Lanka!

The selection of b'fast was excellent - and zero complaints about what we ended up ordering. The only downside with a hotel catering to foreigners is that there are absolutely no options for a Sri Lankan breakfast, which at least during off-season (but surely, during the season too?) would be a wonderful addition - and one, I'm sure, foreigners would also enjoy.

The hotel team did everything to accommodate our needs; they were very attentive and helpful. My kids enjoyed the pool very much, and it's great that you can reach several coffee shops on foot. The AC works very well, which is important in Sri Lanka, and the room was very clean.

We had a wonderful stay at The Spice Trail. The rooms are clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed. The pool area is a nice quiet oasis far from the town noise. At first there was loud noise from an air conditioning of another room, but we asked to move somewhere else and they made everything they can to move us to another room for the last 2 nights. When we checked out we had a late flight, so they stored our luggage for us and let us use the pool and the facilities. The staff were very helpful and the communication was very easy.

It’s a nice small villa just for four rooms, so it’s always quiet. The lovely garden with the big swimming pool. I always had a feeling that I’m leaving in the zoo - monkeys, birds, raccoons, lizards were everywhere.
