Overview
Situated in Ahangama Village just a 5-minute drive from popular whale and dolphin watching spots, Insight Resort features an outdoor swimming pool and complimentary Wi-Fi access at all public areas. Located just a few steps away from the beach, the resort is also a 20-minute drive to Hikkaduwa City from the southern expressway and Bandaranaike International Airport is approximately a 3-hour drive from the resort. Modern air-conditioned rooms at Insight Resort feature large windows which offer ample natural light. They are tastefully furnished with a wardrobe and seating area. The en suite bathrooms include free toiletries. A 24-hour front desk will be happy to assist guests with laundry services and barbeque facilities. If you’re looking for a place to visit around Ahangama that offers great value for money at an affordable price, this is an excellent hotel. Even though it is rated as a 3-star hotel, it exceeds expectations and provides a wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly and always greets you with a warm smile. There is a great variety of food compared to other hotels. The rooms are very comfortable, and most importantly, the bathrooms are clean and tidy. Overall, staying at this hotel was a very pleasant experience.

“I just had a lovely relaxing time and much needed recharge of my batteries. Excellent spa massage.”
It was in an excellent location and the swimming pool was really nice. Excellent vegetable curries and great cocktails. The massage I received at the spa was amazing. All the staff were so helpful and friendly from reception to the room boys. Excellent waiting staff in the restaurant and great cocktails at the bar.

Staff was very friendly and very good with our kids. Breakfast was basic but ok. The outdoor areas are nice and the opportunity to see the turtles being released to the sea if you are there at the right time was just great! Our kids loved it.

had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel and couldn’t recommend it more highly. From the very first moment, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. A special thank you to Dilrukshi, whose kindness, warmth, and genuine energy truly stood out. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and her positive attitude made the entire experience even more memorable. The room was fantastic. It was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The breakfast offered a great variety and was delicious every morning, and the facilities overall were excellent and well cared for. Everything about this stay exceeded my expectations. I would come back anytime without hesitation. Highly recommended!

Mevinu from Housekeeping Department was the best and also the Pool Guys were so friendly and nice and it was always nice to talk to them. In general was the hotel really nice and the best part was to see the baby turtles right at the beach!

“Friendly and relaxing Resort at a intermediate surfspot”
Amazing location direct in front of famous Marshmallow Surfspot. Luxury surfing because you can check the waves from your bed. After the surf session have a great breakfast buffett and relax on a sunbed at the clean pool. Amazing and friendly staff.
