Our two nights here were memorable for a number of reasons: fabulous hosts - Annie and Giles were such fun and so welcoming; wonderful food - we dined in both nights, Giles cooking was a highlight and Annie served almost any drink imaginable; ambience of the whole place was a dream- decor, dishes, facilities, bedding, just everything was superb! These two nights will easily be the ones we remember most and tell glowing stories of, out of our 2 month stay in France! It was just wonderful.

“Beautiful surroundings, comfortable rooms, and the warmest hospitality”

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience: lovely rooms, peaceful surroundings, fantastic home-cooked meals, and such friendly hospitality from Gilles and Annie. Our room was comfortable and charming. On Annie’s recommendation, we cycled to Brantôme for lunch, which was a great way to see the surrounding countryside. There is so much to do in the area, it’s hard to choose! We also loved relaxing in the gardens and by the pool. Both Gilles and Annie were welcoming, friendly, and full of helpful local tips. We were already hoping to come back!

Annie and Gilles were the perfect hosts. Gilles is an excellent cuisinier and we really enjoyed his food. They made us feel most welcome and even indulged me by listening to me practice my beginner's french (despite speaking very good English themselves). Their pool is lovely, the bedrooms very comfortable and the farmhouse beautifully restored, all in a very tranquil location. Thank you. We will be back!

An absolutely beautiful place, surrounded by gorgeous countryside. Extremely kind and accommodating hosts who welcome you as if you are old friends. Utterly delicious food (no menu, so send dietary requirements ahead) and an amazing wine list. Lovely rooms -- the old stone means they stay cool even without air con. A stunning pool -- huge and the perfect temperature in the summer sun. Nearby Perigueux is charming and well worth a visit. A car is pretty essential. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful stay! Home from home but such attentive and kind hosts. From yummy breakfasts, fabulous coffee to Devine three course meals in the evening with the best wine. This place is a must if you’re in the area! It has a Fabulous pool and a room with all the right amenities!

I had a wonderful stay at the Domaine de Labrousse. Annie and Gilles are amazing hosts and they make sure you spend the most lovely time while staying with them. Their maison d’hôtes is filled with art, located in a very quiet location, there’s a nice pool, and you’ll be served the most delicious food and wine in the garden. It’s worth the detour if you’re in the region.

Everything, we were made to feel so welcome and Annie and Giles were kind, considerate hosts. Giles is the most outstanding cook. During the 2 nights we stayed there the food was the best we have had in France EVER. I couldn’t recommend this place more

An unexpected jewel amidst nature. Very personally run by the owners who make you part of the family. Giles is a superb cook offering exquisite dinners. An old very thoughtfully renovated farm house that offers retreat and relaxation at the highest standard. The wine and beverage selection is outstanding and you can also buy wine at reasonable prices. Annie and Gilles understand their business and are special warm people.

The most peaceful place to stay. We loved every moment of our time here. Giles and Annie were both incredibly welcoming hosts and ensured we had a great time. The highlight has to be Giles' cooking. Having an evening meal cooked by an ex-restauranteur is unique at places like this we've stayed at. Breakfast was really good too, with eggs straight from the chicken coop and everything homemade. If you're in any doubt about where to book in Dordogne, stop - just stay here!

Perfect stay in a pretty home decorated with fantastic art. Best of all, we took dinner there too and it was delicious!

Annie and Giles of DOMAINE DE LABROUSSE are very friendly and made a very warm athmosphere. And were very helpful to propose good places to go. And Giles is an excellent chef, we had 3 very nice courses every evening. We liked the house with a lovely mixture of new and old things.
