“Most homely place”

Really really spacious and just the most homely place I've ever booked. First time ever I've booked a place where I've got something beyond my expectations after checking pictures and reviews. As well amazing hosts.

The stay was amazing, perfect escape from the city life! Food was exceptional and host Alvis has great communication. Well equipped home and super cozy. We also had some daily visitors (cats) - one of them was super sweet and wanted a lot of cuddles. 🥰

A unique location with lots of character. A beautiful property to explore in a natural setting with a pond. An old style Latvian homestead with the option to have a Black sauna.

Great location, nice facilities! House is full of interesting antique things! Also, there is a traditional sauna which you can use booking in advance. Costs 70 euros, which is a bit too much imho (we were 2 friends there), but was an interesting experience.

Very nice, peaceful and authentic place in a beautiful Aglona village. I enjoyed very much traditional Latgalian dishes, fresh healthy juices & smoke sauna ritual (with multiple dips in the pond). I also had a very nice sleep as beds are comfortable and it is dark and quiet in the room. Aglona village and surrounding areas are also very beautiful with many lakes, forests, hills and meadows - highly recommended (I did a bicycle trip through Latgale)

Perfect place to spend some quiet time in nature. Very beautiful house, clean rooms, planty of activities to do outside. I bet it's the same amazing every time of the year.

A beautiful guesthouse in generous land. The hosts could not do more providing transport, advice and for fees transfers, delicious local food and best of all a traditional smoke sauna. Very well appointed house too

“Best chill ever”

Great owners! Very kind and helpfull. They were attentive and caring, giving us a tour of the facillity and explaining everyting. Its clear they have a lot of passion and heart for this place. Old house, nature around it, big garden and a lot of details like seatings everywhere, small wooden bridges, flowers and fruits - amazing place! Peace and quiet all around, with a very intimate atmosphere. We ate also great home dinner, actualy we had to separete it for 2 dinner because it was really big portion. Black banya was really extraordinary experience, Wow! We felt like new born after it ^^ Im sure that i will visit this place again and recommend to everyone!

It is like a proper, traditional Latvian cottage style home. It has got a good ambiance and is clean. It has got a black tradition sauna available on request and a massage.

This place is fantastic. Firstly the location is very central (2 minutes walk to a supermarket, 3 minutes to a nice cafe), but still quiet. Both the indoor and outdoor facilities exceeded our expectations and look better than on the photos. Very authentic design. The smoke sauna is also an exceptional experience, well equipped and prepared. Hosts are super polite and helpful. This place is a "must visit".

Absolutely beautiful property with a nice garden and lovely pond! It was very quiet and serene. The house has everything you need, there’s nothing missing to make your stay complete! The hosts are also amazing, very considerate and thoughtful, making sure that you are informed, have everything you might need and are comfortable as much as possible! They also bake wonderful and tasty bread. The interior of the house is beautiful, it’s old but in a good way - everything feels and is very vintage, there are so many unique interior pieces and furniture, it feels cozy and well though out. I liked the authentic Latvian and Wild West touch of the place. Definitely worth every penny spent!

A wonderful, authentic guest house, where the ancient is successfully combined with modern comfort. Very hospitable hosts, an unforgettable experience in the black sauna, and swimming in the pond near the water lilies. A wonderful, spacious garden. Very beautiful and tidy place! The hosts also offer to prepare various, very tasty dishes and drinks - I recommend trying them!

Wonderful hosts, beautiful setting and a very special black sauna experience. It was my first time in black sauna and I felt 10 years younger after it.
