“Wonderful!”

Everything ! This was the best place where we have ever stayed in Greece. Quiet place, with wonderful views on the sea, spacious rooms. Stella prepares each morning home made breakfast with freshly baked bread and pastries, both savoury and sweet. Don’t miss her orange pie - it is absolutely delicious. Stathis was always so helpful, friendly and very professional. Every morning he would suggest to us an itinerary comprising sites to visit, restaurants or cafes and beaches without wind. We had a great time in Kythira also thanks to a warm welcome at Stella’s Houses.

Excelent location and large rooms overlooking a magnificent view of Agia Pelagia. Excelent home made breakfast served daily by Stella. Amazing property owned and run by Stella and her son Stathis. Stathis is one of the best host I ever met very helpful and informative. We will definetly come back!

All is perfect: the beautiful house with sea view, the position, the accuracy for the cleanliness but mainly the hosts. Stathis and his mother are very kind and the delicious breakfast they prepare is genuine and excellent.

Stella and Stathis were absolutely unbelievable in their service. Very informative, everything was explained so clearly about trips around the island, places to go, eg beaches, supermarkets, restaurants etc, great location. Our apartment was fabulous, extremely clean( a plus), comfortable bed, great facilities overall. Also a fantastic location with views of the water, very serene, quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was included during our stay, it was fabulous, with real home cooked pastries, cakes, bread, not to mention other delights etc daily. Both Stella and Stathis do such an amazing job, we would not hesitate to stay with them again, they have two very happy and appreciative customers.

Excellent breakfast made fresh by Stella, with a different choice during our six day stay. Stathis was a fabulous host, with good knowledge of the island and plenty of suggestions to make our stay special.

Spacious, clean quality accommodation with fabulous views of the sea and across to Peloponnese. Stella and Stathis are very joyful hosts with Stella cooking and serving the most credible breakfast every morning. Do not pass on an opportunity to stay here.

“A week on Kythira”

Stella's House far exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived we felt really welcomed. Stathis (who is running the place with Stella) was hospitable and gave us a lot of information about our stay and places to go to. In fact he had prepared a full itinerary with 8 different excursions. The view from the place is amasing, situated on a hill overlooks Aghia Pelagia with breathtaking views of the harbour and the sea. The room was very spacious with a living room, kitchen and bedroom in one large space. A nice veranda facing the sea. Air-conditioning, provided comfort on warm nights but you can also do without. Breakfast was perfect, full of home made cake, bread, marmalade, jam, honey and at least two new dishes every day, one savoury and one sweet. All in all a great place, a great room, great breakfast and most of all great people! I have no hesitation in giving it my highest recommendation. Thank you Stathis and Stella!

I would highly recommend Stella's Houses. The breakfasts were freshly prepared every day by Stella and included fresh bread and greek delicacies like tiropites and baklava and one morning we had tiramisu. Stathis, the owner was very helpful and obliging. The apartment was very well presented and clean and has a wonderful view from the balcony where we enjoyed our coffee every afternoon.

“Perfect location for a holiday in Kythira”

Everything was perfect. The food was very tasty and different everyday. Stella and her son were very friendly and helpful with everything, they'll tell you which beaches are worth seeing. The location is up on a hill so it was always silence, the only noises are cicada and waves. We'll definitely return here!

Everything was perfect! My husband and I are both Greek, living in Berlin, and we have traveled a lot. This was the first time we stayed in such a clean accommodation, especially considering it is not a huge 5-star chain hotel. The room was spacious, giving us all the space we needed and making our stay super comfortable. The view was breathtaking! In addition to the room, the breakfast was delicious and handmade by the hosts. As Greeks living abroad, we obviously miss and appreciate a good handmade Greek breakfast, but we believe it is a great opportunity for foreigners to experience it too. Last but not least, the hosts were extremely warm and polite, while also giving us the space and discretion we needed.

We stayed at Stella's Houses for 21 days and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The apartment provided a magnificent view of Agia Pelagia and across the straight to mainland Greece. Agia Pelagi is an excellent beachside location with everything a visitor requires. The accommodation at Stella's Houses was spacious and functional including a kitchen. Hosts Stella and Stathis were exceptional in fastidiously maintaining spotlessly clean rooms with regular servicing. Stella provided delicious home made traditional breakfast treats each morning which we enjoyed including her jams made from their fruit trees. We met other great people each morning at breakfast. Stathis was a great source of local information for our first visit to the island and was very helpful. We look forward to a return stay.

Amazing breakfast of homemade cookies, cakes, jams, pies, yogurt and fresh fruit. Stella works extremely hard preparing fresh made breakfast items everyday!

Everything perfect, a small arrival problem was quickly resolved by a telephone call to the owner who went above and beyond to help out, this was much appreciated Great view from excellent well equipped apartment. Very quiet and comfortable slightly out of town. Highly recommend to those appreciative of willing and good service. Very good breakfast

You definitely need a car the hill is very steep and all the villages to visit in Kythira are not within walking distance from each other and it is a mountainous island. Stathis, Stella’s son speaks great English, he has amazing knowledge of the area and how to spend your day to make the most of such a beautiful island. This information was so valuable to us, we got to see so much in three days that we would have never been able to organise or navigate as tourists with no knowledge of the island. We highly recommend staying with Stella and Stathis at Stella’s House. I usually do not review, this stay was excellent and I wish you all to have the amazing experience at this beautiful island that we had. Will definitely stay at Stella’s House when we come back to Kytheria.
