“Great staff good-ish hotel”

It's right on the beach which is amazing

The location was good, and the buses were excellent to chania bus station. We arrived early in the morning, and our room was ready. Staff very helpful.

Staff is very friendly. Access to the beach very convenient. Breakfast is very varied and delicious. Convenient parking. Near the hotel there are many restaurants, taverns, shops and a supermarket.

We stayed here for our wedding. Staff were amazing, breakfast is fantastic. The location is perfect.... We would recommend to anyone!

“Another wonderful stay at Thalassa”

Our second time staying here with my husband and two other couples in our family. It’s adults only which is important to us. The hotel is lovely with great facilities and in a very central location. So many restaurants to choose from. The swim up bar at the hotel is great, tons of sunloungers all with parasols, both on the lawn by the pool and down on the beach. Breakfast has great variety. The spa is also fantastic.

“Perfect from start to finish”

The breakfast was fantastic - always fresh, plenty of variety and local Cretan food always well represented. The food from Ouzaki was also very good. It's not allowed to 'reserve' sunbeds in this hotel - this is exactly as it should be! We never had a problem finding a spot at the pool or on the beach at any time of the day. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet which was exactly what we wanted. No loud music or parties. Just some light live music by the bar in the evenings which was fine. The room was spacious and comfortable. We were told on arrival that we had been upgraded, which was a lovely surprise. We visited the spa twice during our stay. It was a wonderful experience on both occasions. Staff at reception are exceptionally efficient, helpful and welcoming. The location of the hotel is ideal. The bus to and from Chania town passes right in front and the stop is just a few seconds walk. The surrounding area also has fantastic restaurants. We were spoiled for choice. Overall, we had a wonderful holiday and we hope that we will be lucky enough to visit again in the future!

The property was fantastic, well layer out, clean, pool was excellent, pool bar excellent, breakfast fantastic. Staff also very helpful, and couldn’t do enough for you.

We stayed at Thalassa Beach Resort with two other groups of friends and found the hotel superb from start to finish. The service was excellent throughout—friendly and professional from check-in to check-out. The rooms were spacious, well-equipped, and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the relaxing pool area and the welcoming atmosphere created by the staff. The breakfast offered a great variety, though I was a little surprised to be charged for a freddo espresso—especially as I usually skip food in the mornings and just have coffee. After that, I found myself making a few espressos from the machines instead. The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to the beach, local amenities, and a good number of restaurants within walking distance. My only real criticism would be the disorganised parking situation out front. Cars were often parked haphazardly, with little consideration for others. It would be helpful if parking bays were marked to make better use of the space. That aside, everything else was excellent, and I would happily return.

Clean and comfy

We had amazing stay in Thalassa. I would defenitely stay again. Staff was attentive, welcoming and kind, rooms and hotel over all were very clean. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety. Pool bar was great also. Location was perfect, just a short walk to center of Platanias and Agia Marina. Thank you!

The staff were all very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast had everything that you needed. Location was fantastic and would certainly visit again.

The hotel is one of the best I have stayed in. We were upgraded to a junior suite which had 2 large rooms and a huge bathroom! All areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered so much choice and was excellent quality, you could even help yourself to a Buck’s Fizz if you fancied it! Lovely pool and bar area. Water melon was brought around mid morning, it’s these little touches that makes it stand out from the crowd. Plenty of sun beds and gorgeous Bali beds which we made the most of. Stunning location right on the beach and beautiful sunsets to admire in the evenings.

Nice hotel with really good restaurant and breakfast. Quiet and peaceful as it is for adults only. There are different room types and some of them have sea view and others don't. Really nice and relaxing stay in fairly busy location.
