Overview
This family-run inn is a good base for exploring the North Coast of Ireland. It has its own 9-hole golf course, a traditional bar and American motel-style rooms. Free WiFi is available. The en suite bedrooms are in a courtyard next to the main building. Each room has 2 double beds and most have baths and separate walk-in showers. The Brown Trout Golf and Country Inn has been owned and managed by the O'Hara family for four generations. The Brown Trout bar has live music at weekends. The Royal Portrush Golf Club is 24 km from the Brown Trout. The area is also good for horse riding and fishing. The inn is in a beautiful part of the Irish countryside, less than 19.5 miles from the Giant's Causeway, and 13 miles to The Dark Hedges.

Lovely room, delicious dinner, great ambience in the bar. You need to checkout by 11am but breakfast is served until 12 noon, so a lovely chilled morning! Breakfast cooked to order and not the usual buffet breakfast. Overall delighted with everything. This was our first time back at the hotel for 34 years but definitely won't be our last nis we have rediscovered it.

The staff are so friendly and helpful and the place has a lovely warm atmosphere, great food. An all round perfect place to stay. I'm only sorry I hadnt time to walk around the grounds - it looked wonderful

Its location was perfect for us, the rooms were traditional style, comfortable and spotless. There’s a lovely walk which was relatively clean around the golf course particularly as we ve had so much rain. Very relaxing and all staff were so helpful, friendly, polite and went above and beyond.

“Worth exploration, very enjoyable and relaxing”
Immaculate rooms, stunning decoration, excellent hot shower, warm and cosy with everything you need and better than some 5star hotels I’ve stayed in. Very good and varied Breakfast menu, served to table by friendly and helpful staff. The grounds are stunning and beautifully decorated for Christmas.
