“Amazing hospitality in front of Danube”

Ideally located just in front Danube, close to castles and vineyards. Very warm hospitality from Georg and Gabrielle! Very tasty breakfast with love and local natural products. Amazing vibes in house where with care and attention to details owners made comfortable beautiful and relaxing space. Very recommend!

The hosts are warm and humorous.The breakfast is delicious, served on very nice tableware. The house, renovated by the hosts, is stylish with so many intersting decorations.

“It's the only place I will stay at in Wachau!!”

Think of everything you want in a hotel and Goldene Wachau has it. Location-right in the middle of Wachau so it's perfect for exploring the valley at both ends. scenary- right on the water, in a picturesque village. The place- everything you want from a hotel in terms of professionality, decor, cleanliness, and all the details (and beyond really), with the warmness and a unique experience of a majestic yet very cozy home. Parking - free on the property. Breakfast - delicious, fresh and with a wide variety! and lastly - incredible and hospitable hosts that takes care of you from the moment you order with fast and kind responses. oh and the house has a grand piano for all the musicians out there. I can't wait to go back. 10 out of 10!

Everything. Location. The deck, the piano, the old finishes, the lovely garden. The beautiful breakfasts. The view. Simply amazing The owners George and Gabriella were incredible hosts. Just lovely people and had a very keen eye to the attention to detail throughout the property. I can't speak highly enough of the owners and their accommodation. Gorge and Gabriella made us feel very welcome. Made sure we knew where everything was. Gave out plenty of information for the surrounding areas and they were very accommodating to our needs Highly recommend!!!

Staying at Goldene Wachau was the experience of a lifetime and worth every single one of the 20 hours it took us to get to Europe. From the moment we arrived, Georg and Geraldine made us feel like family. Their warmth, kindness, and incredible local knowledge turned our trip into something far more special than we ever imagined. Every recommendation, from the breathtaking places to visit to the unforgettable food to try, was spot on. Breakfast each morning was pure joy—homemade with such care and love that words can’t do it justice. It was something to savour and remember. The guesthouse itself is stunning: luxurious yet welcoming, immaculately presented, and filled with so many unique treasures that we found ourselves noticing something new and beautiful each day. We leave with full hearts, already planning our return, and feeling genuinely sad to go. Goldene Wachau isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience we will carry with us forever.

Gabriele & Georg were the highlight of the trip! They took the time to give us many recommandations in the area and made us an incredible breakfast (and sandwich for lunch!). We wished we would've stayed longer. The house is beautiful and worth a visit. You won't be disapointed!

“Amazing!”

Beautiful house, amazingly decorated, so comfortable and pretty, with all the things you would need (even emergency pads and tampons in the bathroom 👍👏). Bedroom is very large and bed is super comfy! The hosts are extremely welcoming and kind, giving you so many tips for activities and meals around the place! Breakfast is very copious and tasty, everything is fresh! Location is amazing too. Loved it, definitely recommend it and would absolutely go again!

“Fabulous”

Amazing hosts who went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. We were cycling the Danube and with recent flooding the cycle path was closed on a section. Our host offered solutions which included taking us and our bikes to the next destination. We did find another way but big wow to our hosts removing all the stress.

The place is nicely finished. Everything is super clean and nice. Rooms are quite spacious. The host is very helpful and enthusiastic. We would definitely stay again.

Gabriele and Georg were incredibly invested and enthusiastic hosts who also gave us invaluable tips for our short stay. Their 400 year old beautifully rennovated house is full of antique treasures. The house is directly by the Danube with two small swimmable beaches right there.

The place is just lovely, and the host very nice and friendly. I was travelling by bike and was able to store it the garage. My only regret is that I stayed for just one night.
