I rented a room for two days and ended up on the new Big Brother show. The only difference was that there were no cameras. Or rather, there were two. They belonged to the housekeeper and were on 24/7. Big Brother knew everything. He knew where my bed was. He knew that the curtain had moved a few centimeters. He even knew that I had hidden a rock under my pillow to improve my sleep comfort. I'm convinced that if I had rolled from my left side to my right during the night, I would have received a report in the morning with the time of the incident. Every day began with an inspection. Every evening ended with a round. The housekeeper would check that everyone was asleep and then secure the premises with a rock. I don't know from whom. Perhaps from tenants trying to escape. After 24 hours, I was summoned before a one-person committee. The allegations were serious: a moved bed, an unauthorized rock under the pillow, and a face that didn't meet production expectations. At the end, I heard the famous words: "You can only live here on my terms. And you have to like those terms." That's when I realized I wasn't a guest at BnB. I was a contestant on "Big Sister Tahiti." Unfortunately, I was eliminated in the first episode. The audience didn't even have time to send their text messages. 😄

Really beautiful place, and exceptionally clean. Franck and Yenita are really lovely people and so kind. It was my birthday while I was here and they made me a delicious meal and a birthday cake. I didn’t have any transport here and got by just fine with hitchhiking. Thank you so much for a great stay!

“Great place and a lot for the money”

Absolutely a great place to stay and you will have a lot for the money. It is very close to the beach. You can really hear the waves washing over the sand and you can watch people surf all day long. The place has a fantastic view over the Pacific Ocean towards the east. The fruit is home grown and free with the rent. I felt very well taken care of, the owners are very friendly and willing to help with the guidance you may need.

The property is beautiful and well kept, the bungalow we stayed in was nice and cleaned everyday by Yeneta which was great to come back to. We were given fresh fruit every morning and were just across the road from the local beach.

“Great stay at a fantastic place”

Yenita and Franck are great people, so kind and helpful! They’ve created an oasis close to a very cool beach. The hostel is also close to Taravao where you can find supermarkets, shops and restaurants and such. It’s about 5k, so either take a bus (Mo-Sat), hitchhike or rent a scooter or car.

Everything about my stay was perfect – by far my best experience on the island! Frank and Yenita are incredible hosts, and the location is unbeatable: sea views from every corner of the property surrounded by lush jungle. The hostel has such a peaceful atmosphere — calm, relaxing, and ideal if you want to disconnect and recharge. On top of that, there are friendly dogs and cats to pet, which makes it feel even more like home! The place is well-furnished, with a spacious kitchen to cook and an overall great vibe. I 100% recommend it and will definitely come back :) (That said, if you don’t appreciate community living, cleanliness, and calm, this may not be the place for you.)

“Beautiful sustainable hostel”

Beautiful hostel located right across a very nice beach. The care and love that have gone into the property make it a wonderful place to stay. Yenita and Franck are wonderful hosts, and the hostel is not only beautiful but very sustainable, which I truly appreciate. The only issue is that it can be a little noisy at night, but honestly I still slept quite well, and they do offer ear plugs ir you are super sensitive. I would absolutely stay here again.

“Excellent place in a beautiful area with wonderful interesting people”

The place is creative and clean and the hosts are wonderful people who put a lot of care in the hostel and the guests and are enjoyable to talk to. The breakfast and the views are excellent. I really like the deck/sitting area overlooking the beach. I love being in that part of Tahiti and this is a great place to relax there. There are some rules for guests to help keep it clean so if you choose to stay there, please be respectful.

It‘s a very cosy place and you can feel and see the love that the owners put into it. You‘ve got everything you need, it‘s super clean and there are a cute cat and a lovely dog sharing the place with you :-) The owners are always up to a little chat and very helpful with everything you need / want to do and try to make your stay a really good one! “Perfect getaway in the real Tahiti!”

It was the perfect getaway in Tahiti, far from the big cities and surrounded by all the locals. The hosts were more than friendly and so helpful. Fresh breakfast every morning with the best view. And not a single dirty spot to find in the place.

“A quick layover I wished was longer!”

I was greeted by the lovely hosts, Yanita and Frank and welcomed into their newly renovated hostel right by the beach. I don’t usually do reviews but this was such a fantastic stay, and some wonderful hosts! It’s worth the drive from Papeete! I look forward to the opportunity to come back to the island and stay again with them!

It was a beatiful stay just next to the ocean. Hosts are so nice persons.
