Surrounded by the mountains of Gran Sasso National Park, Lago Secco Bed & Breakfast Country House is set in a peaceful area in Illica. The garden, where vegetables are cultivated, features free BBQ facilities and a seating area. All mobile homes include a private bathroom with shower. A buffet breakfast featuring hot drinks, home-made cakes, jams, cereals, cheese and cold cuts is provided daily. Excursions to nearby places of interest can be arranged upon request. Lago Secco Bed & Breakfast Country House is 15 minutes’ drive from the town of Amatrice, famous for its Amatriciana-style pasta. The city of Ascoli Piceno is 40 km away.

“Cozy, clean, amazing countryside.”
The host was very accommodating with our very late arrival. Google maps took us through the back end of the property, which made it difficult to get through the narrow roads, but the host navigated is through. The place is modest, but once you realise that it’s located directly next to the earth quake remains of the town, you understand why. The area is beautiful and the host very friendly and helpful.

“unforgettable stay - Host did everything to make it a pleasant stay and helped us in a great way”
Davide and Franko where fabulous! We came hiking and totally drenched due to heavy rainfall and they made sure we had everything we needed: heat - food - excellent company! They helped us book a bus back to Rome (we had to cancel the rest of the hike due to dangerous weather situations and midstreams), drive to busstation and giving needed information. Summary: we will certainly come back if we are in the region. Thanks to both!
