Easy to find, decent location (especially for the football ground). Excellent welcome from the host and the pub the rooms are above looks good. Access to rooms is through a private door. Shower was alright, took a while to warm up. Porridge in the room was a good touch.

The property was central for what I needed . Close to eatery’s and any sort of cafes and restaurants. Bus station is right near to get around aswell.

“A night at the Castle”
John the owner is welcoming and a fantastic host. Helped by letting me lock my bike away for the evening. Good pub and atmosphere. Just don’t ask if he likes cheese :) Will stay again.

“AVOID at all costs”
Terrible place to stay. Absolute dive bar. No staff to help, the room was old and small and noone came to check in or changed the toliet roll or towels. The bar area was terrible and my room was right outside the smoking area where they smoked weed openly. I am struggling to get a VAT invoice to process for work. AVOID THIS PLACE!

“Great value. A basic, clean and comfortable room.”
The location was perfect. We stayed for football and the ground was a 10mins walk away. Plus the town centre was very close and within a few mins. It was very clean. Rooms are located above a pub which was very convenient for drinks.
