Refugio is great, super clean and well organised. You have space below beds to store luggages on top of the allocated lockers. The toilets are separated from the shower and there are two sinks in between. Rooms are spacious and bright. Not many mosquitoes. There’s a nice garden and outdoor showers to rince after the beach too. There’s an area to chill on rainy days. Overall great place to stay!

Breakfast was included and the dorms were cleaned daily. Comfortable bed although the bunk was quite low so can’t sit up. Communal kitchen could be used after 2pm each day.

Stayed in a mixed dorm. The room and grounds were very well kept, room itself was spacious, the lockers provided were of excellent size and working locks, bunk beds were comfortable enough. Good shower quality (temperature and pressure). Breakfast was a good spread, typical of Brazilian accommodations (breads, cheese, ham, fruit, granola, coffee, cake).

The place is not accommodation to black African, if you're a Black person you will receive different treatments, I was the first person to check in. But not allowed to choose a bed, was given the. Bed near the toilet door, 2. He then gave me a pillow wrapped up with plastic then put a cover over that plastic.

The "welcome" was: "Remember you must be out by..." HELLO - nice to see you too!! Apart from the chill Welcome, the place seemed to have a nice enough Traveler´s vibe. Fine b-fast buffét.

I've been traveling for almost 7 years through South America and I always stay in budget friendly hostels. I also work very often in hostels. Believe me when I tell you that I could count on the fingers of one hand how many times I had a breakfast like this one here! 😍 Rooms are nice and clean, there are big lockers with keys, Internet is good and everywhere, location is perfect, staff is helpfull and trilingual, they even have a couple of very well-behaved cats. This place is 10/10!

Very close to the beach (don't understand the comments saying otherwise, really, it's 300 m away!), a bit away from the noisy part of town. Breakfast is alright, bed was really comfy and you get a private locker and a safe! The place itself is very nice and feels like holiday!
