Locatiom good up a bit of a hill but easy enough to get into the town. Good kitchen facilities and bathroom was a good size. WIFI worked well and AC.

“Absolute paradise 10/10”
This was an incredible stay, being at the edge of the rainforest it was paradise and had no issues with bugs/mosquitos. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Comfy bed and the window could be opened fully with the mosquito net across it and there were also fans in the room if it got too hot. Showering and kitchen facilities really good and well equipped. They had spacious common areas both inside and out with games too. WiFi was strong the whole time. Only 10-15 minutes walk from the beach (this was fine with backpacks but could be a little difficult with suitcases)

“Cosy house with great vibes. Super tranquil on a vibrant island!”
Location was perfect. Set further back form the centre of town, but a 2 min walk to the action! Meant we could have busy days and sleep peacefully and enjoy out the quiet forest setting at other times. The veranda was amazing and cool, with hammocks for relaxing in. We are also working remotely and the wifi was great! The house was so cosy and comfortable and hosts were incredibly friendly! We loved Casa Matatiso. (And the cat Matatiso!) Upstairs loft room was very basic but comfortable.

Casa Matatiso is a tranquil place with everything you'd want for a stay on Ilha Grande. Kitchen was really well-equipped, the room and property was clean. Beds are very comfortable. The outside deck has seating and a table plus hammocks. Recommend!

Instead of 3 days I stayed 7 days. It's a great place. The host Natalia is very friendly and helpful. There are three rooms to rent in the house and you share kitchen/bathroom but it's no problem at all. The hammocks are so cozy. A few mins walk to the center where you have lots of shops and bars. Very safe place. Great nature. It's like paradise
