Overview
With stunning views of Praia da Julia, the festive Aquário Pousada e Hostel has a dock over the sea as well as hammocks throughout the garden. WiFi is free in public areas, and guests can enjoy party and live music. The property offers accommodation in air-conditioned private rooms and shared dormitories. Lockers are provided. A buffet breakfast is served each morning in the breakfast room. It includes a variety of fresh fruits, breads and cold meats, as well as a selection of hot and cold drinks. The property features a communal TV lounge and can arrange sightseeing tours. It is located 20 metres from Praia da Julia Beach and 30 metres from Praia do Canto Beach. Ilha Grande city centre is at a distance of 800 metres.

“Don’t stay here. Has nothing to do with a “Hostel””
I wish I could give 0 stars! This has nothing to do with a “Hostel”. Only Brazilians are staying here and not even looking at you. The 6 bed dorm room is a jail with no privacy at all! Or I had to sleep with my head next to the toilet door or being 20cm away from the guy next to me. All the Argentinian girls that work there are not helpful and don’t want to get any questions. I had to pay €55 euro per night for this horrible experience. Had to pay €5 to rent a towel. The ferry was arranged in the morning and while arriving on boat she told me a different price… more than double the price…. You don’t find any people during the day except the staff. It’s dead… At 1AM the place turns in to a night club and the whole local community is coming over till 5am every day! To be honest the only good point is the breakfast in the morning and the sushi they serve during the day! Overal.. don’t stay here if you’re a western solo backpacker and wanna meet people!!!

Amazing view and location. There is power generator and AC. Simple but good breakfast. Nice staff. I recommend the place!

Great stay, kind employees that were really helpful when I wanted to change the dates of my stay, good facilities (you have a little gym at the hostel), breakfast is good and a beautiful view from the hostel! Highly recommend it! A bit harder to get there over the beach with a suitcase but the view was definitely worth it! Great value for your money!

The hostel is in an absolutely gorgeous place. I had a private room that looked out onto the ocean, blue skies, sound of the waves waking you up... A dream! You have breakfast overlooking the sea. The staff is great, I made a few friends through them and had a really amazing time. Unforgettable!

Well, I went there in Carnival Season. I has beautiful ocean view and you can actually swim in front of property. Breakfast wonderful too. the owners are really kind and helpful.

“Wanna come back”
The location is one of the most beautiful things that the hostel have. The rooms are big and comfy, the beds are too! The bathroom is really comfortable and very clean too. The common spaces are so good, and the fact that is next to Che Lagarto where the best parties are, is the best thing ever. The after-party is made in Aquario too and is pretty good. The noise of the parties will not be heard at the rooms. The breakfast is really complete and delicious. The staff is cool, but Adriana and Luis will forever have a place in my heart! Definitely will come back
