I don't do reviews but we always check other reviews before booking anywhere, the other reviews for this place are spot on. This place is so remarkable I just had to get straight on here to do a little to thank Peter for a brilliant stay, he could not have been more hospitable in any aspect of our stay, he runs the small local pub "Colliers arms" below the rooms where the prices are very cheap and the locals are soo friendly, one of the pub regulars even popped home to get some board games for my son's entertainment. Peter even warmed our plates when we ordered in take away. There is an alarmed room for bike storage he even supplies locks and cleaning equipment for the bikes (we had our own so didn't need it). The rooms are more than adequate comfortable, clean, warm and very quiet. There is a small shared kitchen and dining area for shared use by the 2 rooms, and he even threw in breakfast which was not advertised. I book several hotels a year through booking.com and nothing comes close to how welcome we felt here. If you are visiting Merthyr, Brecon Beacons or Bike Park Wales as a group or family do not hesitate to book with this place really really amazing service and the facilities are perfect for outdoorsie people looking for a comfortable friendly base. “Decent BPW accommodation!”

Was a great spot for stopping for a trip to BPW, 5 mins away. The accommodation has a safe lock up for your bikes that’s alarmed. Host was friendly and accommodating. Was a nice touch for coffee and breakfast bits being available in the kitchen in the morning. Pub downstairs is nice, decent pint. I would stay here again, has everything you need for a BPW trip.

Perfect place to stay on a budget when visiting Brecon beacons or bike park Wales. Staff were very friendly and breakfast thrown in was appreciated. Accommodation was basic but all perfectly maintained and with lots of facilities - altogether perfect for a group of students or young people looking to stay somewhere affordable.

This place is so good! 6 of us stayed here for one night before bike park wales! Very good location and the host is top tier! Didn't even have to ask for anything he provided a brilliant service when we was in the pub on an evening! Even give us full assess to his WiFi and smart tv in the pub watching bike videos 🤣👌 would recommend to anyone!!

Phenomenal value for money. Everything you need for a trip to BPW. Comfy bed, bike storage, cleaning etc. All above a cracking little pub. The host couldn't do enough for us and really went that extra mile to make sure we were looked after. 100% will stay here again next time we're at BPW.

Location for riding bike park was perfect. Secure bike storage was great. Peter was super friendly, very helpful and accommodating. Provided breakfast bits were lovely. Place was very clean.

Super convenient location for bike park wales. Pete has a secure / alarmed room in the flat to store bikes which came with plenty of kit to secure, repair or clean the bikes. Separate breakfast area / clothes wash rooms. All above Pete’s pub where you can relax!
